The Challenge
Users need a trustworthy and efficient way to exchange currencies with peers, avoiding high bank fees and complex processes. Existing solutions lack transparency or are difficult to navigate.
Our Innovative Solution
We developed a mobile-first platform that emphasizes user verification, transparent fee structures, and real-time exchange rate tracking. The UI was designed to be clean and intuitive, guiding users seamlessly through the exchange process. Key features include secure chat for negotiation, multi-currency wallets, and automated matching based on user preferences.

Initial Research
Understanding the target audience and market landscape for P2P currency exchange.
Benchmarking
Market research focused on UI/UX best practices in the fintech space, based on top-performing websites and successful applications in currency exchange and money transfer. This includes an analysis of user feedback (pain points and insights), as well as current design trends and interaction patterns drawn from trusted sources like Google’s UX Playbooks and Nielsen Norman Group articles.

I gathered insights to improve upon existing pain points in money exchange and transfer applications.

Important insights from users revealed a set of core functionalities that significantly impact their satisfaction.
Design Evolution: Low, Mid, and High Fidelity
I start by gathering the client's needs through collaborative sketching of low-fidelity wireframes. Then, I translate those into mid-fidelity designs, incorporating basic colors and functional ideas. Once these are validated by user testing and stakeholders, I move on to the high-fidelity phase.
Design system
I created a design system to ensure visual consistency and streamline the design process. It includes a unified set of components, styles, and guidelines, making the interface scalable and easier to maintain across multiple pages or products.
